NumloomCalculation setup — values are entered in Runner.Preview

Construction product coverage and quantity

Enter the area covered by one complete package at the intended application thickness. Use the same area unit for that coverage and for the area entered in Numloom. The result is a whole number of packages, rounded up. A package may be a bag or a container; the result is not a volume in liters. The starting coverage is an editable example.

Calculations currently require access to Numloom on Google Play Internal Testing. iPhone and iPad support is planned.

How it works

Whole packages needed, rounded up = Round up (Area in the same unit as the coverage per package ÷ Coverage per package)

In Numloom: “Area in the same unit as the coverage per package” → “Whole packages needed, rounded up”.

your area unit → packages

Coverage per package · same area unit/package

This page shows the formula and parameters. The calculation runs in Numloom.

Assumptions and limits

Calculation basis: “Area in the same unit as the coverage per package” (your area unit) → “Whole packages needed, rounded up” (packages). Use the parameters shown for this particular operation.

Choose consumption for the actual material, thickness and application. Coverage, mass and volume are not interchangeable, and the example does not specify a construction product.

Enter a non-negative value in the app.

The displayed chain rounds the required quantity up to a whole number.

Coefficient sources

Initial settings: Coverage per package = 1 same area unit/package (demonstration value).

These starting values are not a standard, calibration certificate or manufacturer recommendation. Replace them with values measured for your process or specified for your product.
