Flow meter frequency to flow rate

Set the number of pulses your flow meter produces per liter. The QR code and HTTPS link carry the formula and your current setting into Numloom on Android. Enter the measured frequency in Hz in the app to obtain flow in liters per minute. Editing the setting updates the code and link without reloading.

Calculations currently require access to Numloom on Google Play Internal Testing. iPhone and iPad support is planned.

How it works

Volumetric flow rate in liters per minute = Flow meter pulse frequency × 60 ÷ Calibration pulses per liter

Assumptions and limits

Use a calibration for the actual meter and operating conditions. Frequency is pulses per second; it is not a total pulse count. This calculation uses liters, not gallons.

Coefficient sources

The initial 100 pulses per liter is an example from the source material, not a calibration certificate or a value valid for every meter. Replace it with the value documented or measured for your meter.
